It is all about angles. Refraction creates angles. Angles are everywhere. This was his first thought of this new site. Throughout the whole site he experiences different kind of feelings. Refraction can produce different experiences within the site. In order to experience those feelings fully, the sight is the most important sense that one should have. Without sight the navigation is impossible during the journey.

Dense lines refract when entering the hollow space forming new slender lines. Closely organized lines change direction when they enter the space at an angle. The space is created by parallel lines and holes inside: the space is hollow. When the dense lines refract, new lines appear. These new lines are slender. Dense becomes slender. The space that the lines enter changes the nature of the line.

Lines come from almost every direction. Angles meet each other making it impossible to know your next step. Those lines are thin and thick; those lines are slender and dense.

Though these lines are everywhere, there is still an order in the way they are disposed. They are forming angles that intersect. Intersections are the keys to the navigation of one. If one finds the intersections he could know which way to continue. In order to find his way he has to perceive and situate the intersections. But at the intersection point he has many choices of which way he could take. If he takes the wrong path he will have to move all the way backwards and find that intersection point to go further.

                                       

The bottom dense part can be separated into six parts. Those six parts are assembled together by dense lines formingbridges, which hold the assembly on top and on the bottom. The dense lines are so tight that in order to separate the six parts. Those parts should slide parallel to the bridges. The use of joints in the bottom solid block creates those bridges.

The person on top has a full sight of the person left in the oubliette. He has all power over him. On the contrary, the person in the unknown is subdued to the person on top of him who can see him.

Angles do not always bring crowd and fullness. A significant constituent of the holes is the empty space between the bottom solid space and the upper solid space. These two blocks delimit the height of the site.

The distance between the floor and the ceiling is enormous creating a sense of freedom. Refraction this time creates another space without turmoil. Refraction can bring about freedom and calmness. The refraction is not only horizontal. Some lines refract and the angle changes forming vertical lines. Those lines go up to the upper block forming columns.

                                      

  

The columns are not there to be used to serve the human body; they are just an inevitable part of the space helping the structure being more resistant and marking the dense refracting line. They create a vertical space formed by the dense line. Therefore the dense lines are not just horizontal pieces but they stand in the x-axis and the y-axis. Columns make the perpendicular angle formed by refraction more evident. Refraction can bring about security.

Refraction can also create new lines. Dense lines meet the slender wall from which new slender lines come up with different angles. When the dense lines refract, new lines appear. These new lines are slender. Dense becomes slender.
The two solid blocks are separated by that more delicate structure.
This area forms a wall dividing the whole shape into two. These areas are also jointed. A piece of the wall is cut off so that the block can enter it. Accordingly the two designs slender and dense are interacting.
To pass to the other side there is a hole in the delicate area that one has to cross by climbing and jumping. This hole is square-shaped. He climbs and reaches the bottom of that square. One can see through the slender lines under his feet. He can sit there for hours and contemplate the view. On that place he is able to see everything.
